- Pure Harvest Smart Farms from the UAE and PlanTFarm from South Korea have collaborated to form a high-tech farming facility in Al Ain, UAE. The farm uses AI technology to grow crops and reduce water usage, growing animal feed with 95% less water. The project aims to reduce the UAE's need for imported food. It uses a mix of vertical farming and greenhouses to grow local crops like Korean strawberries and leafy greens all year round, helping improve food security and make farming more sustainable.
- UNS Farms, a leading vertical farm in Dubai, is offering a range of fresh, pesticide-free herbs grown in a controlled environment, perfect for enhancing meals during Ramadan. This is not new when we are discussing vertical farming opportunities in the UAE.
